Polishing removes surface defects that washing cannot touch. Swirl marks come from wash mitts and automatic brushes, and they show most under direct sun. Light scratches sit in the clear coat. Oxidation makes the paint look chalky or grey, usually on the bonnet and roof first.

A quick test tells you what you are dealing with. Run your fingernail across a scratch. If the nail glides over, the scratch is in the clear coat and polishing will remove it. If the nail catches, the scratch has reached the base coat, and it needs touch-up paint before any polish goes on.

A 1-step polish costs AED 349 and removes most light swirl marks and minor wash marring, roughly 60 to 70 percent of the visible defects. A 2-step polish at AED 549 is the level most cars need. It adds a cutting stage for moderate scratches and water spots, and removes 80 to 90 percent of the defects. A 3-step correction at AED 749 runs the full compounding, polishing and finishing sequence for deep scratches and heavy oxidation, and removes 95 percent or more.

SUVs and larger vehicles are priced 20 to 30 percent above sedans because they have more panel area to work. Every price above is the same in Ajman as in Dubai, with no travel charge for the trip.

Our technician arrives with the polisher, pads, compounds, a paint depth gauge and an inspection light. The car gets a snow foam wash and a clay decontamination first, because polishing over embedded grit only spreads the damage. Then the paint is measured panel by panel, and the correction stage is chosen from what the readings and the light show.

You can stay and watch. We show the before and after under the same light, so you can see the change for yourself before you pay. If a lower level will do the job, we say so. We do not sell a three-stage correction to a car that needs one stage.

Ceramic coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in. A coat over swirl marks keeps the swirl marks, and they get harder to remove later. A coat over polished paint keeps the mirror finish for years. That is why our combined packages start with a polish and finish with a ceramic layer in the same visit.
