Mobile Window Tinting Dubai: We Install at Your Location

By SuperQuick Car Detailers|

Mobile window tinting in Dubai means a trained technician comes to your location, installs the film on-site, and leaves. No driving to Al Quoz, no waiting at a shop, no arranging transport. The car stays at your building while you work or stay home.

SuperQuick provides mobile car tinting across Dubai from AED 399. We install Armolan and 3M automotive films, both tested for UAE heat conditions and compliant with RTA tinting regulations. This guide covers how mobile tinting works, what films are available, UAE legal limits, and what to expect on the day.

What Is Mobile Car Tinting and How Does It Work?

Mobile window tinting is exactly what it sounds like: the installation comes to you. A technician arrives at your address with all equipment, the film, and the tools needed to complete the job cleanly.

The process at SuperQuick:

1. Book via WhatsApp with your location, vehicle make and model, and preferred film option. Same-day and next-day slots are usually available across Dubai. 2. The technician arrives and inspects the windows. Any factory tint is noted (UAE legal limits apply to visible light transmission through the combined glass and film, not just the film alone). 3. Windows are cleaned thoroughly with a lint-free solution. Any contamination between film and glass causes bubbling, so this step is not rushed. 4. Film is cut to your window dimensions and applied wet, using a squeegee to remove all air and water before the adhesive sets. 5. Curing time is 24 to 72 hours. The film should not be rolled down during this period to allow the adhesive to set fully.

Total installation time is 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on vehicle type and number of windows. You can work, be inside, or do whatever else during the job. Our tinting service page has the full pricing and booking form.

Is Mobile Tinting Good Quality Compared to a Shop?

The quality of a mobile tinting job depends on the film, the technician, and the environment. A skilled mobile technician with good film produces identical results to a shop installation.

The variables that matter:

Film quality: We use Armolan and 3M, the same product lines that premium fixed workshops use. Cheap films yellow, bubble, and delaminate within 18 to 24 months. Both Armolan and 3M carry manufacturer warranties that cover defects including delamination, bubbling, and colour change for 5 to 10 years depending on the product line.

Environment: Dusty environments create contamination risk. Our technicians assess the installation location and clean the area before working. Indoor parking is ideal. A covered carpark is good. An outdoor spot in a sandstorm is not viable and we will reschedule.

Technician skill: Application on curved rear windows and tight-cornered quarter windows requires experience. We train specifically on these surfaces. It takes longer than a flat side window but the result does not differ from shop work.

For Dubai's summer conditions, both Armolan and 3M ceramic films offer superior heat rejection compared to standard dyed films. Our ceramic tint guide covers the difference in detail.

Are There UAE Legal Limits on Car Window Tinting?

Yes. The RTA Dubai enforces visible light transmission (VLT) limits for car window tinting in Dubai:

 • Front windshield: factory glass only, no film permitted except a colour-tint permit from RTA for specific authorised shades
 • Front side windows (driver and passenger): minimum 70% VLT
 • Rear side windows and rear windscreen: minimum 50% VLT

VLT is measured through the combined glass and film. Factory glass transmits roughly 80 to 90% light. A 50% film on 80% glass results in approximately 40% combined VLT, which falls below the legal limit for front side windows.

Practical implication for Dubai cars: many factory windscreens already have a slight factory tint band. When adding film to side windows, the combined VLT must stay above 70% for the front doors. A 70% film on standard glass typically produces around 58% combined VLT, which passes the front window limit.

At the time of booking, we confirm your current factory glass specification and recommend the correct film percentage for your vehicle to stay legal. If you need darker tint on front windows, we handle the RTA colour tint permit process as part of the service.

What Tinting Films Are Available for Mobile Installation?

SuperQuick installs two film families on mobile jobs:

Armolan: A Czech-manufactured film with strong market presence in the UAE and GCC. Armolan's standard series (SR series) provides good heat rejection and clarity at a competitive price. The ceramic series (SXR ceramic) uses nano-ceramic technology to block infrared heat without metallic content, which means no interference with GPS, mobile signals, or in-car electronics. Armolan carries a 5-year warranty on standard films and a 10-year warranty on the ceramic range.

3M: A widely recognised brand in the UAE market. 3M's Crystalline series is the premium option, blocking over 99% of UV rays and up to 97% of infrared heat at VLT percentages that stay within UAE legal limits. 3M films are backed by a 5-year product warranty.

For Dubai's climate, both Armolan and 3M ceramic films outperform standard dyed films on heat rejection. Interior temperatures in parked Dubai cars can exceed 70°C in summer, and a quality ceramic film reduces this significantly, protecting leather, dashboard plastics, and reducing AC load on startup.

Film selection depends on your priorities (heat rejection, privacy, budget) and your window's existing factory tint. When you book, we confirm the right percentage for your situation.

Mobile Tinting Prices at Home: What to Expect

Mobile car tinting at home with SuperQuick starts from AED 399 for a standard sedan (full car: side windows + rear). SUV and larger vehicles add 20 to 30% due to surface area.

The mobile service fee is included in the price. There is no separate "call-out" charge for locations within Dubai. Sharjah and Ajman locations attract a small travel supplement.

What affects the final price: - Vehicle size (sedan, SUV, crossover, van) - Film type (standard vs ceramic: ceramic adds AED 100 to 200 depending on product) - Number of windows (full car vs rear windows only vs front doors only) - Existing factory tint (sometimes affects which film percentage is available)

We do not charge differently for mobile vs studio installation. The AED 399 base covers the same film and labour quality whether you are at home or dropping by our Al Quoz studio.

For comparison, fixed workshop prices in Dubai range from AED 200 for basic dyed film to AED 1,200+ for full ceramic on a large SUV. Our mobile pricing sits at the professional mid-range with quality film, full warranty, and the convenience of coming to you. See our tinting price guide for a full breakdown by vehicle type.

Mobile Tinting Limitations: When a Workshop Visit Makes More Sense

Mobile tinting is not always the best call. A few situations where a workshop visit makes more sense:

Windshield film or RTA colour permit: Windshield applications require a curing environment free from direct sunlight and dust. Our Al Quoz studio is set up for this. Mobile windshield installs are weather-dependent and we only proceed when conditions are right.

Heavy contamination or old film removal: If your car has old, bubbled, or delaminating film that needs removal first, the process takes 2 to 4 additional hours. This is best handled at the studio where we have the full toolkit and can keep the car protected from sun during removal and reapplication.

Rear window heated grids on older vehicles: Some vintage or heavily modified rear windows have heated demister grids that are fragile. Wet application requires care. We assess this at booking.

In practice, the vast majority of standard Dubai cars (sedans, crossovers, SUVs) with intact existing windows are perfectly suited for mobile installation. If you are unsure, send us your vehicle details via WhatsApp and we will confirm before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does mobile car tinting cost in Dubai?
Mobile window tinting with SuperQuick starts from AED 399 for a standard sedan with Armolan standard film on all side and rear windows. SUVs and larger vehicles are priced at AED 480 to 580 depending on size. Ceramic film upgrades add AED 100 to 200. The mobile call-out is included in the price for Dubai locations with no extra fee.
Is car window tinting legal in Dubai?
Yes, within legal limits. RTA regulations require front side windows (driver and passenger) to have a minimum 70% visible light transmission. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen require at least 50% VLT. Front windshields cannot have aftermarket film unless a colour tint permit is obtained from RTA. We confirm the correct film percentage for your vehicle at the time of booking to ensure full compliance.
Does mobile window tinting come with a warranty?
Yes. Armolan standard films carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty against defects including delamination, bubbling, and colour change. Armolan ceramic films carry a 10-year warranty. 3M films carry a 5-year product warranty. The warranty covers the film itself and is honoured by the manufacturer. If defects appear within the warranty period, we assess and replace at no cost.
How long does mobile tinting take at home?
A standard sedan takes 1.5 to 2 hours from the technician arriving to completing the job. An SUV with more window area takes 2 to 2.5 hours. You do not need to be present during the installation as long as someone can hand over and receive the car. After installation, the windows should not be rolled down for 24 to 72 hours while the film cures.
Can you tint a car outside in Dubai?
Mobile tinting can be done in covered parking, basement carparks, or shaded outdoor areas. Direct sunlight accelerates the adhesive cure too quickly and dust contamination increases. We assess the location when we arrive and will not proceed if conditions will compromise the result. Indoor parking is ideal. Most Dubai apartment buildings and offices have covered parking that is well-suited to mobile installation.
